Tonight.

Tonight I would just like to run away and live in this little hut on a beautiful coastline. Work is going well but it consumes my head space and my energy all day every day. A little sea water would help I feel.

A little colour and a lot of sunshine.

Today I cannot get enough of the sunshine and logging onto Pintrest this morning I was faced with so much COLOUR; this is what the sun does to people! Today I am taking a little time out of sewing my final collection to enjoy some sunshine and hang out with my boy. Hope your making the most of these blue skies. Here are a few sneaky pins I found this morning.

Summer days.

Looking at the photographs on Twig Hutchinson’s website is making me dream of the summer days to come when I can hopefully create just for the sake of creating even if just for a little while, when all this stress and hard work is over. Oh those days will come….

Tord Boontje

Well Fridays lecture with Tord Boontje was as inspiring and every bit interesting as I had hoped. I could ramble on about it but really I think that it is one of those cases of you needed to be there. So instead I will leave you with my favorite quote of his from the lecture. A little gem.

” Once we change our way of thinking, we break down barriers in our work and once those barriers are broken, there are no limits anymore.”

Tomorrow’s lecture.

Tomorrow I am lucky enough to be attending a lecture by the well known Tord Boontje, I love a lot of his work and can’t wait to hear his take on things. If you haven’t seen his work before, its worth a peek.

Simple as.

I haven’t blogged for a long time and for some reason I have had no desire to, in fact the complete opposite. Very little time these days is spent thinking about anything nice and creative that isn’t related to my final collection and this in itself is really quite overwhelming. I am learning, each day, about my practice and how I work. But on days like today when it all seems a little too negative and assessment feedback sends you into a whirlwind, I really wish that staying true to myself and my work was simple, it is far from it, but I am determined to get back to it. Get back to basics, and get back to blogging too! But for those creative souls who felt today threw them a crappy hand, be true to who you are.

Grey and Yellow.

My life is pretty full of these colours right now // Colour Palettes!

Today.

Today the sunshine came back and this flat county looked as beautiful as ever, I spent time with my family, made sense of my work and met the most precious little boy courtesy of my strong, brave friend. Not bad.

73 Letterpress

Today I came across Ian Coyle’s website and his 73 Letterpress project. I have seen some of them around lately but didn’t know who they were by. His work is really interesting and worth a look. I like the idea of a set number of prints that are all unique in themselves, and who doesn’t love letterpress?

One of those days.

Today was one of those lovely days. A day filled with vintage sales where I found a few treasures, sunshine that made me hope for summer and a sneaky picnic date with my loving man. Full of inspiration.

Mmmmm.

Today was filled with good company, the Country Living Fair and frozen yoghurt; not bad!
